This was actually my first hike and it was great. The trail was beautiful. The trail itself was great and a good morning hike on a weekend. Hot walk, however, well worth it. After you cross the street from George Washington's headquarters, the trail goes to the right over the bridge and then to the left.

It is a very Rocky terrain up hill. If you take this trail and want to continue on an easy route, after you pass the church, the path takes you to a parking lot Enjoy the walk! An abundance of historical value while walking with my wife and two schnauzers. Wish they had a bike rental store in this location. Would really inspire people to experiment the great outdoors and spectate this extraordinary historical sight.

Took my Dalmatian and had a good long stroll through history. Very easy and marked well. Love this place. For the most part it is easy paved rolling hills but we added the Mt Misery to Horseshoe Trail which added some nice solid hiking. We ended up doing just over 8 miles but you can shorten it or lengthen it to your desired hiking time.

A little touristy due to all the historical significance, but well worth the effort to make this trip. Overall, a great trail. My favorite trail parts were in the woods area. Heavily trafficked trail. Once you get into the woods the experience improves significantly. Outside of the woods trails are mostly pathed.

Much better for jogging. Still historic houses, and other sites to see. Overall worth the trip. It was a very beautiful and scenic trail. The wildflowers are beautiful and smell amazing. I enjoyed watching the birds and butterflies as well! The only down side for me was the portion of the trail right along the road, it was loud and not very peaceful but other than that I loved it!

Beautiful surroundings. The best part is once you're in woods! Nice walk. Many people. All asphalt trail.
